Camping Info
Always a favorite is camping "down by the lake" for camp
fires, root beer and BS late into the night!
There is room for RVs, coaches and tents. There is no charge to camp and a
bathroom with shower house is available.
Camping is permitted on the airport grounds by the lake and pavilion. Some
electrical hookups are available for campers / motor homes
According to Lee Van Dyke, "If you want the full KR,
gathering experience for the money of the hotel, you can go to a local Walmart
pick up a tent and an air mattress and hang out in the campsite. Still take a
shower at the airport and clean up so much more of an experience. Then donate
the tent to a charity or the Boy Scouts."
